Zita is a beautiful three year old whippet/foxhound mix who had originally came from a very high kill pound in KY as a teenager. Her challenging start in life is no longer visible - she is now beautiful, healthy, and loving. Zita has very strong prey drive and so would not be an appropriate dog for a home with cats or very small dogs. She is also a talented fence jumper and can easily clear a six foot fence so we are willing to adopt her to a home with a radio fence (wireless system) or to a home where she will receive long fast walks every day. An invisible fence would be questionable due to her speed and drive - she might well run through the fence. Zita is immaculate in the home and is crate trained but is still very puppy like and needs supervision. She adores all humans although she would be too playful for young children and she does well with other high energy dogs who love to play. Zita would do best in a home where she is not crated for more than 4-5 hours at a time. Her adoption fee is $250 and includes her spay and vaccinations.
