Devlin is a 3 year old Miniature Schnauzer who weighs approximately 12 pounds and is a little lovebug and small children are scary. She enjoys other dogs, cats, and people although she favors women a bit more than men. She is a little bit on the shy side with new people until she gets to know them, but readily adapts to new situations. Her groomer says she is easy to handle and her foster mom says the same. Originally from a breeding establishment, Devlin was surrendered to our rescue and subsequently was placed in a home last July. Unfortunately, the family's situation changed and Devlin was returned to our rescue. Devlin's desire for human attention would require that she not be left alone for more than 4-5 hours at a time although she does not have separation issues and is excellent in the home; we simply feel that she will do best when she receives lots of attention. She is also crate trained. Devlin has the nonshedding coat of a Schnauzer and will therefore require regular appointments with a groomer. Although a fenced in yard is preferred, Devlin walks well on a leash and if given long walks would do fine without a fence. She will need to be on a leash at all times outside the home. No tie outs or invisible fence unless a human is present when these systems are in use. Devlin's adoption fee is $250 and includes all health related needs. She is spayed, current on vaccines, heartworm negative, and in excellent health.
